Mrs. Wendy Buchanan
Wendy has over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry. In addition to her securities registrations and insurance licenses, Wendy holds the professional designations of Accredited Asset Management Specialist and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor. Her areas of focus include investment and retirement planning, insurance and tax-efficient investing.
Wendy works directly with her clients to help ensure that they understand their investments. She assists them in developing personalized plans to help them reach their financial goals.
Since joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2008, Wendy has earned the Premier Advisor designation, which is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors and reflects a
high level of standards as measured by one or more of the firm’s criteria for revenue generation, educational attainment and client-service best practices. Wendy has been invited to represent the firm at the Barron’s Winner’s Circle® – Top Women Advisors Summit from 2009 to 2016. Attendees of the Barron’s Winner’s Circle® Conference were comprised of the 100 advisors listed in Barron’s/Winner’s Circle “Top 100 Financial Advisors” (6/2015), as well as 400 financial advisors designated as the top 1% producers of their firms. Wendy was selected to attend based on her production.
Wendy, a Nacogdoches native, has been married to her high school sweetheart, Mike, for more than 30 years. Together they are members of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches
and are very active members in the community. Wendy holds leadership roles in her community as well as her professional life. She serves on the United Way board and has served as past president of the Kiwanis Club and the NHS Alumni Association Board. She is past Chairman of the Finance Committee for the SFA Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Wendy’s leadership in the community has been recognized by the American Association of University Women, which named her Woman of the Year for 2015, and through her induction in the Nacogdoches Women’s Hall of Fame in the category of Government & Business Professional Leadership in 2006. The Nacogdoches Women’s Hall of Fame was established by the Nacogdoches Commission on Women and Families to honor women who have made a significant impact on the city through service performed in Nacogdoches, and Wendy was nominated by her peers and selected by a committee for demonstrating excellence in the business and professional community. Giving of her time and resources is also evident through her support of endowed scholarships at Nacogdoches High School and Stephen F. Austin State University.
