Aulton J Derrett Scholarship

Aulton J. Derrett grew up in Alto and worked on his family farm. He enlisted in World War II and was sent to Belgium where he served with the military police. Derrett married his childhood sweetheart shortly before going off to war. He was home one month before succumbing to an illness he contracted in Belgium. His wife, Ogreta Huttash, established this scholarship in his memory.
