Dr. and Mrs. Mike Moses

Dr. Morgan Moses, 88 of Longview Texas passed away on April 17, 2014. Dr. Morgan attended North Texas State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree, master’s degree and his doctorate degree in education. The education of students and adults was Dr. Morgan’s lifelong passion. He served as a teacher, coach and principal for the Judson school district, followed by tenure as a high school principal at Garland High School in Garland, Texas. Dr. Morgan then served as a professor and department chair of the Education at SFASU. Dr. Morgan’s higher education service culminated with retirement form SFASU as well being named Professor Emeritus at SFASU.

Dr. Morgan is survived by two sons and their wives, Dr. Mike Morgan and wife, Debi of Dallas, Texas and Monte Moses and his wife, Kathy of Englewood, Colorado. Both sons are graduates of SFASU.

Impact

The Dr. Morgan Moses Memorial Scholarship is directed to currently enrolled graduate students of the Education department with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
