Mr. and Mrs. Ryan and Julie Emmons

Julie (Bulnes) Emmons received her elementary education degree from SFA and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Julie also earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University, and is currently an elementary school counselor. Ryan Emmons received his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Accounting from SFA, and was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. Ryan is currently a practicing CPA in the energy sector.

Ryan and Julie met at SFA and benefited immensely from the experiences and relationships built both in the classroom, and by the exciting culture of social activities made possible by SFA student organizations. This scholarship was endowed by the Emmons to demonstrate appreciation to the University, and their small way to pay if forward to those Lumberjacks that come after them. Axe’em Jacks!
