Mr. Larry Milton
Kenneth (1928-2011) and Elouise Milton (1921-1990) both grew up in the farming and ranching lifestyle of the late 1920’s, 30’s, and 40’s. Kenneth was born in what is now, Houston, TX and Elouise was born in Goliad, TX. Kenneth served in WWII and went on to a career in the railroad and trucking industries, while Elouise worked in the railroad and medical industries. They both embodied a dedicated work ethic because of their upbringing from the farming and ranching lifestyles. Their love for the animals and outdoors stayed strong throughout their lives. They achieved their dream of retiring and moved to Goliad, TX in 1985. Kenneth tended to cattle, building stock tanks, and pasture management, while Elouise loved cooking with fresh farm eggs and vegetables. Although Kenneth and Elouise have passed on, their stories are plentiful and memories are vivid. Their son, Larry Milton ’84, studied Agriculture Business and currently serves as the SFA Alumni Association Financial Advisor. Larry started this scholarship in their name to keep their memories alive.
