Ms. Mary A. Burton

The Gloria Gay Ash Scholarship was established through The Stephen F. Austin State University Alumni Association by Ms. Mary A. Burton, her close friend.

Ash lived in California and Kansas before spending the last 40 years of her life in East Texas. She worked as a program analyst for SFA and was a member of The Angelina Photography Club. She became a life member of the SFA Alumni Association in 2005. Ash passed away December 20th, 2011 in Ratcliff, TX at the age of 87.
